Watch out for what you say in front of the mailman
As part of the homeland security plan proposed by Bush yesterday, the Justice Departmant wants to enlist 1 million postal workers, dock workers, telephone/cable/gas installers, truckers, and others who work in public places and local neighborhoods to be on the lookout for suspicious activities. Although, the Justice Departmant says the program is only under development (sounds to me like a lot of thought is still needed), the Postal Service spokesman said they already have such a program in place!
Is it really possible to trust a large group of volunteers to not include a few people with grudges, biases, and worse?
