Protein bar ratings
I taste-tested and analyzed the nutritional-info panel of several protein bars a while ago. Why? I'm an empiricist, and I wanted to see what response I'd have to a Atkins' like diet. What was the response? Minor weight loss, headaches, decreased mental acuity...all in all, it stunk. However, You still might be interested in my ratings of the different low-carb, high-protein bars I tasted. Click "read more" to, uh, read more. Well, gee. I suck at hand-coding HTML.
And Microsoft Excel can't save as a simple HTML table (it uses Style Sheets, which are difficult to integrate into the portal, here.) So here's the raw data, comma separated. Key things to note: The last number below a bar name is the score (so Atkins Advanatage Prailenes n creme wins.)
What I can't figure out: why all of these damn bars are sweet. What I wouldn't give for a low-carb, savory, vegetarian protein bar...
