Mmmmm...pizza

FoodMSN lists the best pizza places in several cities. I see a few problems: 1) Pleasant Hill's not on the list. 2) Oakland's not on the list (Oakland his home to Zachary's, which they do rate as #1 in the Bay Area by including it with San Francisco) (click on read more) 3) While Devin vehemently disagrees with me, I just don't understand what attracts people to Arinell's Mama-Celeste-frozen-style crappy pizza in Berkeley. 4) These dolts ranked Round Table, Steve's, CPK, and other chains as being top picks in Sacramento. They were also oblivious, apparently, to the founded-in-Sacramento Shakey's, and the clearly top pizza places in Sacramento: Rico's and Brick Oven. I lived in Sacramento for many years, and I've never even heard of the "legendary" #1 pick.
Oh well, I can honestly say I've visted less than 1/4 of the places on the site (heck, I've never been in many of the cities.) Time to get going...

Is there a objective way to rank food, I think not

Seems to me that you must have a different \"pizza heritage\" than those picking the \"best\" locations. Some people like deep dish, others lots of cheese, for some it is a particular flavor of crust or sauce, some focus on texture, and others are into creative toppings or value for money. Although it does seem that there are at least a few common objective parameters that allow most people to agree that certain places are generally better than others.

I see the problem...

CitySearch exercises editorial control over the content submitted by \"readers\".

My review of Arinell\'s said, \"Why do people go nuts for this frozen-style pizza? It\'s a puzzle, especially when the area abounds with *great* places.\"

CitySearch rejected it as follows:
\"Thank you for submitting your review of Arinell Pizza to Citysearch. In order to assure that reviews are as helpful as possible to the community, we\'ve established content guidelines for all submissions. Unfortunately, your review falls short of those standards and cannot be posted.\"

I suppose my posting may have been more concise than they wanted. But the point I wanted to make is cleear: Arinell\'s is bad. It tastes like frozen pizza. There are better places nearby.
