Man from down under goes up quicker

SportAustralian Paul Crake won his fifth consecutive Empire State Building Run-Up race on Tuesday. I remember visiting NYC when I was a kid, and actually *beating* my father up to the top of the statue of liberty. (I ran up the stairs, on a weekday with less crowding. He ran into elevator clumsiness...)

I take the elevator, although I have been to the top.

If anyone reading this has not been to the Greater New York area, I have one word - Go!

To hell with these terrorists, it was an isolated incident and was far more damaging to residents (i.e. people who worked in the buildings) than tourists.

Don\'t miss out on the great landmarks like the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty because of one tragic event. When I went I also traveled through D.C. and although I wouldn\'t make it a regular trip (even though my brother works in Manhattan) I still very much enjoyed looking around.
