Lessons in citing sources

SportI'm sure Wells isn't being fined for pitching an MLB game drunk or hung over. He pitched a perfect game. Folks are happy about that. I suspect that the problem was his speculation/claims of rampant amphetamine and steroid use among players. Short of naming names or providing evidence, this is inflammatory (and if untrue and malicious, is slander.)

I applaud David for pointing this out to the loyal small-to\'ers. Wells is a clown who doesn\'t know when to keep his mouth shut. The thing that surprises me is that John Rocker (with Atlanta at the time) said (in my humble opinion) equally offensive things and was treated much more harshly.

No one said life was fair, right? I believe Wells shot his mouth off out of turn just as much as Rocker. The only difference is that Rocker came off as a racist redneck while Wells basically broke the \"code\" of locker room secrecy, if you will.

Any way you slice it, athletes are talking out of turn. It\'s unfortunate.
