Tools influence design
Design expert Edwart Tufte rails against PowerPoint and other slide-driven presentation software. The fact is, the tools you use imact the way you think about things. And PowerPoint constrains thinking, he suggests. I can tell you that at my company, people think things are better if they're on a PowerPoint slide. I mean, you could write an essay and (I swear) copy-n-paste it onto slides, and it would suddenly be taken seriously. Pathetic.
