Hydrogen cars not needed
Authored by: futurenow on Monday, July 21 2003

I haven\'t seen anyone I trust say that Hydrogen cars will be viable within 20 years maybe 15 years at best but Toyota and Honda have leased a few in California and about 10 in Japan so they have become \"commercially\" available in the last year (although at $200K+ for a small sedan with limited range and power.)

Maybe in the meantime, someone will start lawsuits against the car maker saying they have made SUVs \"addictive\" through advertising and convince them to build more smaller cars again, and utilize various available technologies to greatly increase mileage and reduce emissions at fairly low costs (under $2000) for 25-50% greater MPG.
