Ruben Studdard is a hata I guess the folks that made all that 205 gear the big guy wore have been using his image without permission. So he's suing them.Fools! They should have negotiated a contract in advance. In fact, I'd have assumed they had, given his obsession with the stuff...

Does he own the number 205 now? I'm putting him in the same box with Spike Lee, who tried to claim he owned the name "Spike".
Look, if you don't have the vision to sign it up when the shirts are flying off the shelves (like dbsmall said) then you only have yourself to blame. Besides, Clay Aiken was the better performer and will have the better future. Exactly opposite of American Idol 1 where Justin Guarini was an overrated buffoon but Kelly Clarkson is still strong. The proof is in the pudding. While I was in Lake Tahoe recently playing Pai-Gow Poker, who did I hear on the casino speakers? That'd be Clay, not Ruben. I did see Ruben's video on TRL (that's Total Request Live on MTV) but it was pretty weak. A bunch of his hometown folks sitting on the streets of Alabama. I demand a recount!

Give him time? He's had time. He should have stuck to the Disney tunes. He has problems lasting over 2 1/2 minutes before needing to breathe because is a fat ass. If he wants to go big time he needs to stop smoking the wacky tabacky, go on the Subway diet and get into shape.
I saw how much talent he has, which is slightly less than Kimberly Locke (who killed both dudes in the last few rounds) and much less than Clay, whose range is well beyond Ruben's. So quit being such a homer for your fellow brother and realize that I know what I'm talking about. The judges don't have any input you idiot. They don't vote in case you didn't notice, so who cares if you think he had the "total package". Broadway already has a fat black AI2 contestant, her name is Frenchie Davis. Ruben Studdard's next stop is oblivion, and you need to open your eyes and ears before you type in anonymous shots. Better yet, get a login.

I watched a little bit of the show. Honestly, none of them were that good. It's possible that some of them might become one it wonders, but you have to have at least one hit before that happens.
