dSLR

Sci & TechI will not buy a digital camera for myself until it's a dSLR, compatible with my Canon lenses, capable of producing a film-indistinguishable 8x10, able to hold at least 100 such photos without storage emptying, and able to take at least 3 photos per second. My wishes may soon be answered. Of course, I'm cheap, so they're going to need to get below $700, too.

At least make it a challenge, it appears the Canon EOS Rebel is 90% of the way there, with the way the technology moves cameras that easily beat your specs should be available by next Summer. The only reason they may not is the focus on size in the sub $600 segment and the focus on keeping prices above $1000 by adding features in the dSLR segment.
