It’s official. The entire summer of reality TV has gone gay. A gay couple won The Amazing Race, a gay quintet is making over everyone, and now straight men are trying to go out with gay men for a cash prize. What happened to the good old days when there was one gay person thrown into The Real World just to mix things up? The premise of Bravo’s show Boy Meets Boy went beyond simply a gay version of The Bachelor, it set out to kill stereotypes by putting straight men into the pool of hopefuls to gain the affection of James. In the end, his gaydar spotted out Franklin, the last of the straight fellows who were seeking to steal away his $25,000 prize by duping him. Not exactly the million dollar dowry given away on Cupid by the way, but this is Bravo. I didn’t watch much, but I think they accomplished their mission.
