What do y'all think of this?

Sci & TechSun finally releases their SuSe Linux-based Windows-killer. Supposedly, it replaces Windows, MS Office, MS Exchange, and others. Now, don't believe the propaganda about worm prevention (bad software design is possible on any platform)... But what do you think of this project, largely based around Java, GNOME, and StarOffice? It looks cool to me, but I struggle with the idea that it would require different administrative skill sets than Windows. Hell, it could even be better than MS Office et. al. (I already like StarOffice better.) But people can't use it if their sysadmins can't manage it, and it's not 100% compatible with MS stuff (which MS would prevent).

I'm sure it will win a few cost sensitive users but can't see it making big inroads. Java Enterprise System seems like a much more interesting bundle that should bring fear to BEA, Borland, Novell and other small players and might even worry IBM and Microsoft who have had the same strategy for several years. I still haven't figured out how Java has helped Sun in any significant way.
