More for less

FoodOh, the bovinity! Mad Cow Mad Cow Mad Cow! Whose fault is it? Collectively, ours, according to one of my faves, Alton Brown. It all stems from us wanting "more for less" and therefore... getting more of less, he says. Value your body, and demand better. (I may be gluttonous but in my defense I'm a vegetarian who regularly consumes primarily locally grown organics...)

Cutting tools and conveyor belts, workers tell CounterPunch, are also regularly coated with pus from abscesses and tumors that haven't been properly cut out of the meat. This is largely a sensationalized article with logical fallacies and extrapolation, but it entertains this vegetarian to know what goes into the flavor profile of a typical meatburger. (Yep, I decided not to copy the stuff about feces, too...)
