A cogpsych tells us how to change people's minds. I know this. Being right and using rational persuasion hasn't worked for me as much as I had hoped. (Appealing to Social Proof, Authority, Reciprocity, Consistency & Commitment, Similarity biases, Liking, etc. has worked much more).
