Toke it up, eh, hoser?

FoodCanada might get much more lax on pot smoking, perhaps even decriminalizing it. Economists would say there's a moral hazard in there. While it may be possible to be a productive member of society and a pothead, it's a certainty that decriminalizing pot and being near the U.S. (which Satanizes it), will result in the least productive potheads moving to Canada. Not exactly the result I think they're aiming for.

A drug developed in "marijuana research" might help with obesity. (If only the subjects could get rid of the munchies?)

Researchers say an experimental pill that helps people lose weight and then keep it off is a "wonder drug." Not just for its weight-saving effects, but also because it appears to cut the risk of diabetes and even help people quit smoking. The results of a two-year trial of the anti-obesity drug Acomplia showed that those who took the pill shed more pounds and abdominal fat than those in the placebo group. They also kept that weight off.
