Wow. Even with a bunch of average performances and a couple of really bad ones one of my pre-show favorites (I pegged her as runner-up) bowed out far too early. Amy Adams escaped elimination in the opener but in her second trip to the bottom 3 the axe fell. It had to be her poor song selection because "Dancing in the Streets" did not showcase her talent. I rated her tied for 6th out of the 10 and as we've seen in the past you have to bring it every week to stay alive. Latoya London made her first visit to the bottom 3 even though I thought she had the 3rd best showing. What are people listening to? Jennifer Hudson was on the chopping block for the second time even though I ranked her 2nd based on this week.

The top performer was without question George Huff who sand "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" to close out the show. Well done and this guy isn't going anywhere for at least a few more weeks.

The weakest clearly was Camile Velasco who barely escaped elimination last week and should have been gone after an awful showing of "For Once in My Life" by Stevie Wonder. She must have a large group of friends and family voting for her.

John Stevens got away with the second worst performance. His version of "My Girl" was very bad.

Who knows what we can expect next week although I would be very disappointed to see Latoya London anywhere near the block again. Jasmine Trias is getting by on the "oh, she's so cute with that flower" and needs to be in the bottom 3. Something tells me Jennifer Hudson will be the next to go unless she really wows the judges and gets a positive response.
