This was supposed to be the show where the underdog won. After watching two "hot" chicks select the "hot" guy over the Average Joe, agonizingly so in the second edition, Adam Mesh's return was all set to give folks something to believe in. Then he promptly ditched his family's advice and took the better looking Samantha Trenk over the obviously better for him Rachel Goetz. Small.to reader favorite Christine Morrell was cut on the final episode as the group dwindled from 5 to 2. His selection surprised me a bit, especially given his actions when the 5 hot bikini chicks were supposed to be added into the pool of girls. He met with producers and sent them home, a move that probably cut at least 2 episodes off the life of the show. In the end he couldn't get over the physical attraction to Samantha, who I see as another Kirsten Buschbacher, the gold digger who almost landed Andrew Firestone on Bachelor 3. She seems very phony to me whereas Rachel was about as grounded and down to earth as you can get.

Before he trimmed the group to two I thought to myself that Rachel would be great for AJ2 loser Brian Worth so maybe they will meet at a cast party and hook up.

Next up will be a gender swapping version of the mildly successful Joe series entitled Average Jane. This time a hunky male will get overweight, funny looking females to choose from. We'll see how the guy reacts.
