Sinners? What's the deal with religious imagery?

BusinessAllan Greenspan worries about the foundations of trust that he seems to think our markets our built on. I think our markets are built on foundations of self-interest and greed. And we need to structure the rules to prevent fraud and untrustworthy behavior.

I think for the average person greed has replaced trust with the booms of the 80\'s and 90\'s. The average person wants tax cuts all the time and seems to have no willingness to bare their burden for society. Few people used to invest in the markets and the only people who got hurt had lots of money anyway. We probably never uncovered the level of crime that went on in the Savings and Loan industry, etc in the 80\'s.

24-hour news networks have made everyone aware of how powerful people take advantage of the system. Do we really think Standard Oil was built \"honestly\" or would not have accounting issues. Also the pressure to never make a mistake or never have a slow patch has changed modern business in a bad way.
