The only way this could happen is if people vote on male/female and race because this vote certainly wasn't based on talent. It is disgusting to me that after ripping what I thought was the #2 performance of Barry Manilow night with "Weekend in New England" Jennifer Hudson was sent packing. Last week I had her #3 and it is painfully obvious that splitting votes among three black females killed her. Still, she narrowly lost out to Fantasia Barrino who I thought was horrible as she closed out the show with "It's a Miracle". I suppose it shouldn't have shocked me since she had been in the bottom group 3 of the prior 5 shows, but after this performance it was unjustified.

The one who should have gone home is George Huff. I had him #6 of eight last week, and this week he was clearly the worst as he struggled through "Get That Feeling Again". It didn't even put him in the bottom 3 although I'm certain he was #4.

Latoya London made her second appearance in the bottom group at #5 and while her "All the Time" wasn't bad, it wasn't great either and I rated her #4, just ahead of Fantasia.

On the plus side this week, I thought John Stevens was outstanding with "Mandy". I've been down on this guy but he was stellar. In fact I gave him a 9.50 while the other six average just 7.67 this week.

Jasmine Trias was who I had pegged to go home this week before the finals began, and her "I'll Never Love This Way Again" rated second worst for me. For the record I had Jennifer Hudson exiting next week and four of my top five are still in the hunt.

With the "divas" broken up, the Jennifer votes should flow to the other two meaning Diana Degarmo (solid this week by the way) Jasmine and John Stevens should be on notice that although they were top 3 this week one of them might be going home next week.
