Jasmine Trias makes long overdue exit from American Idol 3 finals

EntertainmentWhen people like Tamyra Gray grace the stage for a guest appearance it makes us realize how crappy the final 3 was this season, doesn't it? Fantasia had a good last song and once again Diana laid down the hammer with the performance of the night just before the phone lines opened. Is it any wonder that Fantasia chose to go last when she won the coin flip? Diana Degarmo: American Idol. That just doesn't sound right, but in truth who really cares who wins this competition. If you've made the finals you have been "discovered" for the most part. Plenty of non-winners are releasing albums, for good or bad.

If I had to rate the 3 seasons worth of contestants, here's how it would go:

1-Clay Aiken (season 2, 2nd)
2-Kelly Clarkson (season 1, winner)
3-Kimberley Locke (season 2, 3rd)
4-Ruben Studdard (season 2, winner)
5-Tamyra Gray (season 1, 4th)
6-Latoya London (season 3, 4th)
7-Jennifer Hudson (season 3, 7th)
8-Joshua Gracin (season 2, 4th)
9-Diana DeGarmo (season 3, finalist)
10-Fantasia Barrino (season3, finalist)
11-Christina Christian (season 1, 6th)

You pick a wild card and there's your "all-stars" from the first 3 seasons. Honestly, if Jasmine Trias puts out an album I think it will do marvelously in Hawaii but do you really expect anyone else to buy it?

Jasmine Trias sings at Pro Bowl halftime
Authored by: norcalfella on Monday, February 21 2005
Did anyone notice that AI3 reject Jasmine Trias sang at halftime of the 2005 Pro Bowl? I think this proves that even the losers from this show have limited success. As long as they draw in the 25-30 million viewer range that's going to continue.

that's my take
