I find the notion of giving a religious official, not in the U.S. an award on behalf of the U.S. for being religious much more offensive than Sinead ripping up the pontiffs photo on SNL a few years ago. Seriously, why don't we just start spending public dollars funding faith-based initiatives while cutting social programs run by the government...uhhhhhhhhhhh....
