NBC was the big winner this summer on For Love or Money's third and fourth editions. That's because when Rachel Veltri, a poor man's Alicia Silverstone if you ask me, chose Caleb Janus he dished his check (a 50/50 shot at a million bucks that proved to be only $1) aside for her. Then Rachel, who had been brushed aside in favor of PJ Spillman in the last edition decided to forego her guaranteed million dollar check for Caleb's affections. Okay, so we know it isn't really a million, more like $400,000 if you want it up front and of course about half of that after taxes, but still it's a nice chunk of change. It was a bit of a risk for her to choose Caleb because Mike clearly would have taken her over his check, which we now know was a million bucks. She must have seen something that we didn't and ultimately I guess she made the right decision.

As she walked out the door she asked him if there was another twist, to which he replied in the negative. No, sorry you don't both get the money like Joe Millionaire and you won't walk away with two million bucks like Erin Brodie from season two.

Ultimately NBC paid for some of the cheapest dates in bachelor/ette style show history and wound up giving away zero dollars and zero cents. Some executive somewhere is getting a promotion.
