
Look, I think MTV's terrible, too. And I'm offended by the fast-foodization of sexuality (not because I find it to be excessive....because I find it to lack depth, and to reinforce false notions of sex.
But the PTC flipping out about Janet Jackson's nipple and MTV isn't about sexuality. It's about their fear of it. And for comparison, take a look at the subject of
Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young", a song I have no problem playing with my son in the car, by the way...This was 20 years ago, folks...and it doesn't get much more "sleazy" or innuendo-based than this. (And yet, to me, it's a lot more acceptable than some of the crap I hear today.)
