Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the WHAT?

EntertainmentI saw Revenge of the Sith. I slept in a tent outside of the theater for two weeks to get my tickets and then for another week to be at the front of the line for the first showing.

OK...not really. I actually do have a life.

I thought the movie was good. Good, not great. It was the best of the recent three released. I enjoyed the storyline, the nice special effects, the character development and the fact that lots and lots of questions from the original trilogy were answered.

But thats besides the point.

What I really wanted to know was: What is a Sith?

It's a long read, but it's good.

We finally got to see it and overall came away very impressed. Not with the IMAX theater mind you, it's pretty weak. Not with the whiny kids sitting behind us either, which is why I frequent the movies much less than I used to.

I was glad that Lucas revealed the real identity of Anakin/Vader's father and how he was "conceived" among other loose ends that were wrapped up. If I had my way, Menace would have been cut down to feature far less of Anakin as a little squirt (ie edit out 30% of it) with the first portion of Clones being the ending of Episode I, even though Lucas never used the "flash forward" technique. That would leave the remainder of Clones plus the first 65% of Sith as Episode II. The real Episode III could have then started with the Sith finale of Vader turning, emerging and dominating the galaxy amidst the creation of the rebellion. All 3 movies could have had 10-15 minutes added to help accomplish this goal.

I have heard there will be a TV show dedicated to bridging the gap between III & IV but I'm not very optimistic it will be good or anywhere nearly the same as a film would for obvious reasons.
