I've recently been startled at a more common business in this area:  pizza places which

• are owned by Arabs
• have the name "New York" somewhere in their name
• serve non-pizza food (like falafel, tiramisu, gyros)
• are surprisingly good, and reasonably priced
• seem to be run by folks who don't know much about running a restaurant

I was trying to oput it all together, when I noticed a box in the kitchen of one, recently. And then MetaFilter had an article about SysCo (the Wal-Mart of industrial food supply).

Is that the tie that binds?
