Changes in store

Several forces have made me reconsider how Small.to is run:
- Google revoked my Adsense account
- The variety of features that made up the site turned out to not be popular. People come for the stories, and only the stories
- CMS and blog tools have developed since I first put up the site years ago.
- Spammers have orchestrated repeated campaigns to taint my referral and stats pool.
- Facebook became huge
So, here's my thinking:
- For now, we'll stay using this original CMS and templates, but I'll disable most of the features, besides the story
- I'll find another advertising supplier
- I will either develop a FB -connect interface (so that you can access the site via your FB login), or else I'll switch CMSes to WordPress
- I will establish a famly of sites: the main one, perhaps one that is *just* for norcalfella (who has established a loyal following, and might do better in his own "space", norcalfella.small.to), maybe one to work out a "debate" idea that my friend Brendan and I have in mind.
What do you think?
Subtlety is not one of my strengths
