Well the Joes finally did strike back, or at least that's what the producers want us to believe. Amidst allegations that former contestant Alfred "Fredo" LaPonza gave NBC the idea of giving the Joes makeovers it was ironically one of those who earned said makeover, Nate Griffin, that won in the end If you believe any of this horsecrap you need a reality check. From the outset once I noticed that Anna Chubby, err Chudoba was the girl from the 24 Hour Nautilus commercials (she needs to spend more time there) I snuffed out a farce. With original girl Melana Scantlin now appearing in commercials for Wendy's the line between scripted and reality is paper thin.

It was no surprise to me that actor wannabe Rocky Fain was the final guy standing and somewhat tragic that it appeared another hunk, Joshua Smith, developed real feelings for the shallow Anna. He was cut in the final 5 after the hunks she really wanted decided to mack out with bar whores under the watchful eye of undercover Anna.

Any way you cut this up, it felt like a complete staging. She cuts Nate and then selects him out of the four revived Joes, but in the end basically tells him "I choose you and let's just be friends". What a sham.

I believe the show was brought back simply to fulfill the contract established when the show was supposed to switch it up with an Average Jane format. When the PR department realized fat and ugly women would have their feelings hurt a lot more than men it was scrapped, leaving us with this.

It is safe to say that AJ5 won't be on your airwaves any time soon ...
