Observations about the movie "Avatar"

I do not belive anything below the fold will be a "spoiler", unless you've been living under a rock. Nonetheless, if that's the sort of thing you fret about, maybe you ought not to read more of this story. It contains a bunch of short-attention-span thoughts I had while watching Avatar. But there are boobie references, below....you know, if you're into that sort of thing.
- Zoe Saldana is a terrific voice actress.
- Am I the only one who thought Michelle Rodriguez's cup size varied, dramatically, throughout the movie?
- While we're on the subject of breasts, I found myself distracted by the extreme care put into ensuring there were no nipple "slips" in the movie.
- And no Britney-getting-out-of-the-limo moments, either. It's not that I wanted them, but given the extremely poor, lose coverage of the Na'vi outfits, it was notable that it never happened.
- But they still do the girl-on-top sex thing, I guess, huh?
- Damn, that "I See You" song sucks. And it heavily copies a string of notes from "My Heart Will Go On", which also sucks. Oh, wait, both are in James Cameron movies, and both are written by James Horner. Seriously? Dude wrote the same song twice? That stinks.
- Leona Lewis is a much better singer than Celine Dion, though.
- Sigourney Weaver was never attractive. I don't care what any of you say. And she's not a good actress, either (and wasn't in "Gorilla's in the Mist"). She acts every single part the same.
- Unobtanium? What a fine name. (Need "sarcasm" tag.)
- If a military solution was possible, what on Earth prevented the pugnacious leadership from implementing that at the outset? (heh, "on Earth")
- What about New Zealand makes so much cinematic special effects work happen there? (Is it just that it's drop-dead gorgeous? Maybe I should visit.)
- I know, I know...people say this was "Ferngully in space", or derivative of Dances with Wolves, Star Wars, and The Last Samurai. But wasn't it really even older than that? Hamlet/The Lion King? And people, "derivative" isn't a problem! (unless you're already an accellerating jerk---physics/math joke!). I like derivative. (See "Eragon" for references.) The weakness in this movie was the shallow/unreal villian character, and the script laziness (boy, we sure have a lot of power, don't we?)
Subtlety is not one of my strengths
