Treating Viewers as Criminals

EntertainmentVery amusing rant on TBS CEO's recent assertion that TV viewers who skip ads are guilty of "stealing" and breaking their contract with the network providing the show. The author even manages a reference to that classic and personal favorite of mine -- Max Headroom.
Here's the article.

...And For His Grand Finale

EntertainmentGeorge Michael is an idiot. Apaprently, masturbating in public restrooms and "Wake Me Up (Before You Go-Go)" didn't sufficiently piss people off...now he's producing an infantile criticism of Bush/Blair without considering that it might affect how well he's treated by their goonies.

Step Right Up, And Don\'t Be Shy

EntertainmentI haven't yet signed up as an Amazon Affiliate. That's a shame, because I'm sure this won't be my last reference there... Turns out several folks have figured out how to win the big stuffed animal at the carnival games...I'll have to get one of these books before I go next...

Harrison Ford, biggest movie star ever?

Do you DVD?

EntertainmentI think this entertainment category would look good with some posts about good DVD rentals. I enjoy watching DVDs at home and have many favorites. Lets see if some of you share my interest in watching DVD and post information about your favorites. For example, one of my all time favorite DVD collections is the Godfather series - I can watch it over and over and never get tired of it! For excellent THX or DD5.1 sound, I recommend Fast and the Furious, Jurassic Park III or Contact. Last night I watched \"Along Came a Spider\". I didn\'t expect much from this movie, but it surprised me and was actually very entertaining - the sound was average, but the story kept me engaged. I also watched \"American Psycho\". Not my type of movie, but if you like thrillers, it may be a good choice for you. So, what other good DVDs are out there?
