Personal Accountability Goes Down The Toilet (Or Clogs Your Arteries)

BusinessInspired by successful lawsuits against tobacco companies, some obese folks hope to squeeze money out of fast food places. The reasoning seems to be this: "Hi, I'm a big, fat idiot. It's your fault, because you sell things that I like." Seems that french fries probably don't qualify as "addictive" (there are no significant withdrawal symptoms) and I've never seen an ad that suggested a whopper is healthy. If this works, I'm suing movie theaters,

GWB Achieves New Levels of....

Under President Bush, the S&P 500 has lost a greater fraction of its value than under any other president. (Approval ratings still over 50%, but dropping. I predict an attack on Iraq next Summer, just in time to boost ratings for Congressional elections.)

New Centipede Species Found in NY\'s Central Park

The first new find in Central Park in 100 years is a 0.4 inch centipede (although a fungus gnat still being studied may soon be named as a new species as well.) When asked to resign, ask for a raise and a promotion instead (Harvey Pitt strikes again)

BusinessUnfortunately in the business world it doesn't work that way. Harvey Pitt, underfire from congressmen who want him to resign, went to congress this week and asked for a raise and a promotion. Even the White House was forced to comment that they did not support the idea but that "it's always a prerogative of independent agencies to talk to Congress." Full Story Here

Laziness or time = money and frozen PB&J

Single serve packages are the hottest trend in the food industry. JM Smucker found this out recently when premade frozen crustless Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches in individually wrapped servings proved to be a big hit.

Who is the Mole?

EntertainmentThe better question is why was this show "dumbed down" for the second edition, or why was it taken off the air for like 6 months.

E. Coli --- It\'s What\'s For Dinner

FoodConAgra is recalling nearly 19 million pounds of beef that may be tainted with e.Coli. I don't know how quickly they process the stuff, but it seems to me that 19 million pounds must take a while. Curious why they didn't notice at 10 million pounds, or 11...
