Ah, yes, how dignity has been restored to the White House!

Where's your political compass point?

To recap:

• If you loved Reagan, vote against W.
• If you have disdain for the Hollywood elite, vote agaisnt W.
• If you're a Christian and support Christian actions ("chief tenets of love your neighbor as yourself and serve/humble yourself to others before attending to your own interests"), vote against W.
• If you're out of work or worried about unemployment, vote against W.
• If it bothers you that terrorism is increasing, worldwide, vote against W.
• If selling out Valerie Plame bothers you, vote against W.

So says one of the letters-to-the editor of the Lone Star Iconoclast in response to its endorsement of John Kerry for President. (The LSI is based in Crawford, Texas, home of Bush's ranch...)

I'm obligated to provide some coverage of the debate, methinks. In summary, Kerry kicked Bush's butt, unless ObL is caught before the election. But don't take my word for it---here's what other folks had to say:

So, this morning's electoral vote counting shows Bush has already wrapped up the election. I'm saddened, not so much by the fact that I dislike him, but because ~50% of Americans can look at charts like these and say let's have more of the same!"

I would make this a comment on the "Bush Wins" story, 'cept it's too important. You'll recall that, when things went awry in FL in 2000, people turned to the courts. We had to obey the letter of the law, the GOP said. But here are two unexpected developments:
1) Florida's says "allow Nader on the ballot, despite the fact that the initial court ruling says to leave him off", because they might need to overturn that ruling. (and, yeah the Democrats whine about it, but frigging do something. Sue Jeb and his *censored*-of-the moment and have them thrown in jail for corrupting an electoral process.)
2) Bush's campaign may have missed the filing deadline by 1 day to be on the ballot in Florida. The Democrats say they don't want to win on a "technicality"(?) It's possible that the law in question applies to electors and not the Presidential candidates. But sheesh, why not read up on it and, frankly, recognize that the objective is to win the White House.
